[Gilderoy's rather puzzled expression tells Sirius that he's not quite sure what one could do with a photograph other than swoon over it.] Oh? You wouldn't throw it away, would you? That'd be such a shame!

[Then, he self-conciously fixes his robes. No one really knows where Gilderoy Lockhart buys these colorful outfits but it's likely the Lockhart's have a private tailor back home. There's some truly garish stuff in there and nothing matches with that awful Ravenclaw scarf! Oh, Gilderoy never disliked anything more than that drab scarf.]

These are boy's robes, dear Sirius! Fashionable ones.

[ Sirius just arched boy this eyebrows at the other boy wondering for a moment how the boy ever got laid. If he even did.]

Nah. I'll keep it under mattress for lonely nights.

[ He said, hey, at least it might might the poor bloke feel better. Right? Sirius had always hated dress robe shopping, it was something his parents always did in the name of "class".]

[ Sirius just leaned against the wall and smirked at him, his own uniform pretty much the picture of dishevelment.]

[He just doesn't. Gilderoy's far too obsessed with himself to truly get involved with anyone... and so far only girls seem to fancy him, and while he loves to flirt with girls and make them smile, he's not interested in them quite like that.]

Oh... you really are terrible! [Does he really mean that he'll touch himself over his picture? Lockhart's cheeks flush noticably and he begins to laugh, nay, giggle.] You'd best not get any of that icky stuff on my photograph, Sirius!

[Lockhart rebels against the uniform in his own way, wearing his colorful robes under them instead. The teachers gave up on correcting them after he kept crying and making a scene about it in his first year at Hogwarts.]

So I hear. [ He answered with a little flourish of his hands. He heard that enough times from some of the girls and boys he'd been with. Not to mention Remus every time a dirty comment slid out of Sirius's mouth. That blush was cute the giggling was almost laughable but Sirius kept a straight face with just a little smirk on his face.] Icky stuff? You might just have to get me a new one mate.

[ Perhaps it's not the way he'd rebel but points to Lockhart for actually sticking to his guns about something. Even if he was a dramatic flop about it all.]

[Gilderoy is actually quite impressed that the most popular boy in school likes his photograph that much, but instead of showing his surprise he offers him another of those charming smiles.] Perhaps I should give you a dozen~

I really am too attractive for my own good, aren't I? [People tend to underestimate Gilderoy's bad behavior quite a bit, from his cheating on nearly every test to him bringing candy(and even ice cream once!) to class, to his 'fashionable' robe collection.]

[ Sirius's eyebrows went up at that reply, huh, maybe the boy was'nt so dense after all.] Has to be quite the photo if I need a dozen.

Ha. Now, that you won't have me admitting Lockhart. [ because someone has to keep you down to earth dude. Really.]

[Yes, little Gilderoy Lockhart actually knows what Sirius implied! It took him a moment to figure out... but he did it.] ...would you like to see it? [More giggling follows and then he suddenly looks quite upset indeed, his smile fading.]

You don't think I'm beautiful, Sirius?

[ It's shocking really! Sirius will give him a gold star, just for that. Sirius head tilts against the stone wall before he gives a little shrug.] Sure, mate. It's my payment after all.

[ Not like he was going to go tell the entire school or that most did'nt already know. Not that many people CARED, really, other then the pureblood snobs. Sirius just frowned a little at that upset look on Lockhart's face.]

Why should it matter if I think you're beautiful or not?

[Ooh, Gilderoy'd like that! He loves everything gold and shiny. But for now, he hands the photograph over to him with hopeful blue eyes. It's absolutely... well, it's something. The small Gilderoy in the picture is wearing lilac robes and striking 'seductive' poses on a fancy baroque chair, before waving and smiling at Sirius.]

[But the real Gilderoy's not looking so very happy.] Oh... I want everyone to find me beautiful!

[ Sirius had never doubted for a moment Lockhart liked shiny things. That's for sure, his fingers curled around that photo and turn it to face him. Peering down at the little picture of Lockhart.] I doubt he'd be smiling so much with icy stuff all over him. [ He quipped before shrugging and slipping the picture into his pocket. Might be good for something later. A laugh at the very least.]

It's a good photo. [ All right, no. How is it that Lockhart can do so such good puppy dog eyes? He glanced down the halls before he took some pity on Lockhart, his body moving closer and his thumb running down the others jaw.]

I think you're very beautiful. Very..pretty.

[Gilderoy's quite concerned for his photograph when he hears that. Oh my, will Sirius really do such a thing? But his worries are cut short when the other boy gives him an actual compliment!] It is, isn't it?

[He begins to smile again, unable not to, and especially not when Sirius moves awfully close to him and runs his thumb over his jaw like that, while telling him he's beautiful and pretty! It's just like Christmas came early for Lockhart.]

I just knew you'd say that! You were only teasing me before, weren't you? [He wonders what'd happen if he kissed Sirius but he's just too much of a coward to do something like that, he didn't forget the time his ink pot exploded all over his face yet!]

It is. [ At least that small compliment seemed to cheer the other up. Though, Sirius was'nt too unconvinced that Lockhart would just walked down the halls till some fangirl called him pretty and perk back up to his normal self.]

Yeah. Just teasing. [ Sirius said, ever the playboy as his thumb ran down Gilderoy's neck before he stepped away with a little smirk, giving the other some air.] Guess everyone just thinks your pretty.

[Indeed, but a little Hufflepuff girl calling you pretty just isn't as wonderful as Sirius Black doing it!]

Oh... but they should! Sometimes I look into the mirror and I just get lost in my own eyes. [Although Gilderoy is blushing quite a bit from Sirius' closeness, he still takes some time to swoon over himself. Never change! He gives the taller boy another big smile once he'd pulled away from him.]

You're not terrible looking either, you know. [He's not very good at giving other people compliments...]

[ Being called anything by a small little Hufflepuff girl is'nt the same as being called that by Sirius. He's just that wonderful. Damn it.]

...I'm sure you do. [ Because, really, there is no way to reply to that other then the thousand jokes bubbling up inside him. Sirius returns that smile as he moves to sit on the castle window ledge, his feet dangling off the side.]

Yeah? Heard that. Also heard I'm a great sight to see first thing in the morning. [ Not really, naked, messy of hair and properly clinging to you.]

[Gilderoy is almost too easy to make fun of... perhaps that is why he goes through his years at Hogwarts relatively un-bullied. And because he's too much of a coward to sit on a ledge himself, he decides to pose up against the wall... one had to look one's best in case any of the fangirls happen to pass by!]

Really? I look much better after I've combed my hair, myself. The only downside of these magnificent curls is that I have to style them before anyone sees me! [...that went right over his pretty blonde head, Sirius.]

[ Because it was like some adorable golden puppy that stared at himself far too much in the mirror hallway. Besides, have you ever seen a pissed off fangirl? Those second graders have tiny but effective fists. Sirius just brushed his long wild hair behind one ear as he leans back against the wall. His rope open and his shirt tucked so he exposed just a little bit of tummy as he leaned back.]

Oh yeah. Such a hard burden to bare. [ Yeah, he could tell. ]

[It really is quite an effective combination young Gilderoy has going for him, it'll most certainly get him far in life! He watches that little bit of exposed Sirius tummy with some fascination, before sighing dramatically.]

Oh, it is! To look as marvelous as I do... it is hard work. Although all of it is completely natural. [Save the highlights and whatever unholy concoction he put on his face to make his complexion entirely like that. But the sparkly forget-me-not blue eyes are a family trait!]

Aren't you afraid you'll fall from that ledge and hurt yourself, Sirius? Not that I'm afraid of heights~ [Hah. Most certainly not!]

[ Yeah. So FAR IN LIFE. At least he'll end up better then Sirius, that's for damn sure. He notes the others look with a tilt of his head but did'nt say anything about it.]

Of course, totally natural. [ Sometimes it's just better to let the other bratter on about this stuff. Family's family traits are all dark hair and big brooding eyes, along with the crazy need to kill and hate anything different. He skipped that last one.]

[ He teased as he pretended to all fall before catching himself. Because, he's a dick.]

[Gilderoy will eventually surprise friend and foe alike by emerging as the ~hero~ of the wizarding world, and while his con won't hold up for too long... at least he doesn't end up in Azkaban or dead like so many of his fellow students eventually will? He'll lose his memory of course, but those St. Mungo's healers really are quite sweet compared to dementors.]

Entirely natural! Why, I had people accuse me of having dyed my hair before... but I am a natural blond, honestly. [He smiles brightly at Sirius' question.] Perhaps I would-

EEEEEE! [An even better reaction than Sirius could've hoped for!] Oh... I thought you fell!

[Aaand he starts to cry. You made Gilderoy Lockhart cry. He's terrified of heights!]

[ Or jail and then death. In the case of Sirius Black.]

Yeah, I hear the Hogwarts newspaper club is all a flutter with that sort of talk. [ There's no way Sirius can not laugh at that reaction because that sound was AMAZING. It echoed down the halls and though the school. Sirius chuckled before he saw those tears in the blonds eyes. He held his hands up in surrender.]

I'm sorry...It was a little funny.

[ He slipped off the ledge to cup Lockhart's chin again, brushing a few tears away from his face like he'd done to so many post-break up girls.] Shush. I'm all right..

[Gilderoy's bottom lip trembles and he looks up at Sirius with those big, tearful blue eyes, clearly enjoying the attention a little too much.] H-how could you laugh at me like that! But- But I wasn't afraid... you s-surprised me, that is all!

I am not afraid of anything!

[He even forces himself to smile again, a big and forced smile that's quite sad combined with those tears. Lockhart doesn't even realize Sirius is probably going to make him sit on that ledge now... he isn't all that smart.]

[ Really, Lockhart should win award for some those look. It actually manged to make Sirius Black FEEL BAD. Snape could learn a few things.] Right. Surprised. That's all.

[ The marauder just nodded as it that was totally true. Sirius just slips back onto the ledge but this time he brings Gilderoy with him, letting him slip between his open legs.]

It's really not that bad...

[He'll actually go on to win Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award no less than five times! Sadly, there isn't a 'saddest sparkliest eyes' contest or he'd make off with that too. Snape could never~]>

Oh- I- ehm! [Gilderoy protests weakly, smiling very nervously and then just sitting down on Sirius' lap without thinking. It's one more body between him and that ledge!]

Why, it isn't scary at all! [Nevermind how pale he looks...]

[ While Sirius will go on to win "Best escape ever from a crazy demented prison" award offered by no one. Ever.]

Not really. [ He chuckled at the boy in his lap. A little thankful that they were alone because, really, no need for "LOCKHART AND BLACK SNOG IN TOWER" to be going around the school. He'd never hear the end of it from prongs.]
