The OOC RP Discussion Meme

[How To]

1. Discuss anything to do with RP-ing - Plots you want to try out, characters, characterization, head canon/fan theories, game ideas, meme ideas, fic and fanart ideas, AU and crossover ideas, Verse/PSL ideas, etc, etc. Game and comm promotions are fine, too.

2. Comments can be anon or non-anon, it's up to you.

3. Please do not bash, flame or name drop any mun or game in a negative fashion. No wanking, please!

4. Have fun!

For me, it's a place to gather details (backed up with evidence, hopefully) of those oocly bad RPers, games and/or mods. Not just to complain, but to warn and be warned. The Ken debacle is perfect proof of this.

And what is the Ken debacle?

My problem is that sometimes things are harped on that were taken completely out of context. Judging someone on a couple of ooc comments without even trying to find out what they actually /meant/, is hardly fair.

As for the Ken thing, I'm not touching that with ...well anything.

if it were just players like ken then there would be no problem. that would be an actual public service. but situations like that are incredibly rare. that isn't what we get there at all though. we get people bitching and moaning and encouraging harassment and mocking of anyone that they decide they don't like often 'backed up' with exaggerated or downright made up 'evidence'.

Yeah, it's good to not let truly horrible people like Ken go under the radar, but usually it's just gossip. I've seen a lot of stuff that's either incredibly biased, downright not true, or both, but I never say anything, since starting an argument just draws more attention and makes it worse.
