The Meet And Greet Meme For Characters
The Meet and Greet Meme
For Characters
[The Rules]
1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!
2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)
3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.
4. Tag around all over the place - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!

[York sets his helmet at his feet as he leans against the wall, casual as sin. The hors d'oeuvres make for a simple way to keep occupied as he watches people trickle in. And marks the exits. One never knows.]
no subject
[There aren't any left. His helmet jerks up as he looks for the offending party. And even though a visor, his double-take is visible.]
York?
no subject
[That might translate to 'Wash.' He can't really talk right now, it's almost like he's got a mouth full of canapés. Imagine that. But who else could it be, actually eating in his helmet like that. York half-salutes and swallows.]
Hey there. Some party, huh?
no subject
["What are you doing here" is really hard to get out, apparently. Not very often you run into someone you last saw as a corpse in powered armor. Wash inhales through his nose. Lets it out in a slow, long-suffering sigh. Okay, Wash. Just roll with it. You got this.]
You'd better not eat the rest of the food.
no subject
[He wipes his hand off on his thigh guard and turns to look at Wash.]
Been a while, huh?
no subject
Because that's why any of us kept you around. [A pause.] A long while, yeah. Staying out of trouble, York?
no subject
[There. Now the elephant on the room's right there on the table where everyone can see it. He tilts his head at Wash to see how the rookie (and he'll always be a rookie, to York) takes it.]
no subject
[Between the Freelancers, the Feds, the New Republic, and Hargrove's men, Wash has dealt with a lot of death. It doesn't get easier, but it is what it is.]
Hard to stay out of trouble when you're alive. Trust me.
no subject
Keeping on your toes, huh, Wash? Glad to hear it.
[Read: Glad to hear you're alive and kicking.]
You're not still with the Project, are you?
no subject
[Only Carolina and Wash made it out in the end. And while he's grateful to the Reds and Blues... well. They're still idiots. They're just his idiots. His team. His family.]
It's a long story.
no subject
About damn time, I guess.
[He's not as sure about that as he'd like to be. He knows what they did--some of it, at least. But the Freelancers had been what he was. Who they were. Where he'd seen the best the world had ever had to offer.
He thinks of Carolina.]
So, do we have you to thank for that, or...?
no subject
Me, Carolina, and a bunch of the simulation soldiers the Project kept around. It wasn't easy, and it's been a long road. But we're getting there.
[Then, firmly, because he knows York:] She's okay.
no subject
Carolina's okay. Carolina's alive.]
Yeah?
[He shifts, uncrossing his arms so he can run a hand back through his hair.]
Huh. Can't say I'm surprised. [What a fucking liar.] She always had a flair for a dramatic re-entrance, our girl.
