 This is the IC version of the The Role Call Meme



[The Rules]

1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!

2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)

3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.

4. Tag around all over the place - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!

Mikami Teru - Anime/Manga

[Mikami Teru had every intent of frowning, talking to nobody and being generally unsociable until finally allowed to leave. He's following through on two out of three of those goals, but that frown has become a rather stupefied stare. A lot of the people here don't happen to have visible life span, which is extremely distressing a prospect for a man who knows what that means. The swarms of non-humans at other tables who don't even have visible names aren't really comforting either. Is he at Valhalla for a banquet of the gods, or is this some kind of zombie carnival?]

[Enter another man who doesn't have a life span, a smiling brunette who approaches him.]

It doesn't look like you're very happy to be here. [When he speaks, his voice is slightly amused but understanding.] It can be a little boring sometimes.

[Mikami doesn't offer a smile.] A "Meet and Greet" is usually for networking purposes relevant to a geographic area or professional trade. Without knowing what common element there is between everybody, it seems... inchoate. [But there are odds that this man without a lifespan can also see his own lack thereof. It might not be as poorly organized as it looks.]

I'm sure there is a common thread. It may be inefficient in that we have to discover it ourselves, but it might just require talking.

[Mikami's frown becomes just a little more pointed, then levels back to his usual lineface quickly enough.] We all appear to be in our twenties. Beyond that... [With the way the Misas and the Ls look, he can't really place them all in a social or economic or professional or education class.]

While that's true, I really am sure there might be more things to note.

Hm? Not to brag, but I do think that I've made a few noteworthy accomplishments in my life. If one of the girls are indeed Amane Misa and not a very dedicated fan, then the same could certainly be said of her. I'd say the same of you, even if it is judging by looks alone. [So he says adjusting his glasses faintly.]

Indeed, she is Amane Misa. You don't seem like her usual fans, but I suppose you wouldn't have to be to know who she is. I think even her fans underestimate her, how much she's able to really see.

I'm not a fan, but I'm not a hermit either. Are you saying part of her popularity has secretly been due to her insight into show business, rather than her charisma?

I'm sure her charisma plays no small part, but those who see things others don't often go so much farther in the world.

Ah, look at me, I have't even introduced myself. [If this man can see his own name, then hiding it won't matter. If he can't, having him try to spell it correctly won't work; his name is written with very unusual characters after all.] Yagami Light.

[He has to do his best not to focus his stare on Misa now. He takes that to mean she's used her sight to advance her career, after all. That's evil damn it. But if they're allies, this has to be handled delicately. It's almost like a Mexican stand off.]

Light, is it? An unusual name.

[There's probably no use in hiding it but he hesitates none the less, with a look at Light as if wanting to make it clear he knows he's handing the boy his own potential death warrant.]

[But if the three of them are owners and if even one of the others has the eyes, thinking himself safe for not having given it was absurdly naive anyhow.]

[Her pronunciation had been off, but Light did indeed have the spelling, which was the most important part.]
