 This is the IC version of the The Role Call Meme



[The Rules]

1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!

2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)

3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.

4. Tag around all over the place - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!

[Light being the one to approach Misa? Sometimes it happens.]

Misa? I guess I shouldn't be surprised to find you here.

[kiraseyes]

[Light approaching her? Happy day! She skips forward, quickly closing the remaing space between them.]

Light! Of course I'm here. [Clings to his arm and sighs contentedly.] I knew I'd find you, and now we're here together.

[That's his Misa arm. He was lucky she was so tiny.]

So we are. It looks like there are a lot of other familiar faces, too.

[kiraseyes]

[That's right, she's claimed it!

She glances around at the others. It's a bit strange seeing the other versions of them around... she makes a face and sinks closer to him, as though claiming more territory.]

Yeah, too familiar. I don't mind having more of you around though-- [abruptly flushes pink, realizing what she said] -- not that--! I mean, that's not what Misa-Misa meant! Just one of you is definitely all I need.

[Clings tighter, if that's possible.]

Hm, I wonder if it could have been any of me that would have done, then.

[kiraseyes]

No way! Can't you feel it? I'd know my soulmate anywhere! You're definitely the one!

[Misa, you should know he hardly believes in soulmates.]

Hm? Is that so?

[He's actually more interested in the others outside of the other 'hims'. If nothing else, he's always aware of himself.]

[kiraseyes]

[Light, you should know Misa's far too devoted to be convinced of anything less.]

Absolutely, I'm certain of it! [Smiles sweetly and sways her body playfully as she continues to hold onto him.] Light-kun knew it too, it's why you chose me.

[What? Misa reading too much into something between her and Light? No way!]

[And Light is the opposite. Misa's something to be kept close, but for all the wrong reasons. Besides, keeping her close is extremely easy.]

Isn't it only natural? It would look much more strange for the two of us to ignore each other.

[kiraseyes]

Of course it's natural! [She's agreeing for completely different reasons. Soulmates are natural, right?

Ah, but there's something Light ought to know about their present meet-and-greet company. She really needs to bring it up or Light might be upset with her for not saying it sooner. She's definitely going to be useful to him!]

But um, Light... [Her voice drops to a conspiratory whisper and she leans up as close as she can to his ear (which isn't very since he's almost eleven inches taller than her), ensuring secrecy from eavesdroppers and especially meddlesome detectives.] There's another guy here without a lifespan.

[That has his attention. He looks away from the small gathering and trains his eyes on her. She could be useful. That kind of information would have gone unnoticed by him, and it was vital. Many would have called him insane to need another reason to keep Misa around, as beautiful and famous as she was.

He surveys the group and it doesn't take long to pinpoint who it has to be.]

The older man in the suit? What is his name?

[kiraseyes]

[Although already leaning up to whisper to him, Misa seems to rise even more under the light of his gaze, like a flower toward the sun. She was totally useful to him, yay! She nods, confirming the man, and considers for a moment.]

Mijou Teru? [Best guess. Just like Light's name isn't pronounced Tsuki, there's plenty of variation in names.] It's spelled with the kanji for charming, above, and shining.

What should we do? [He could be dangerous, or he could be an ally, and either makes her nervous.]

[She has a lot of room to lean up considering their drastic height difference. Misa has always been tiny while Light was of a good height for a male.

If he could depend on Misa for one thing, it would be to charm, but he would still depend on himself most of all. Someone didn't have to be attracted to you for you to gain their trust.]
