The OOC RP Discussion Meme

The OOC RP Discussion Meme

[How To]

1. Discuss anything to do with RP-ing - Plots you want to try out, characters, characterization, head canon/fan theories, game ideas, meme ideas, fic and fanart ideas, AU and crossover ideas, Verse/PSL ideas, etc, etc. Game and comm promotions are fine, too.

2. Comments can be anon or non-anon, it's up to you.

3. Please do not bash, flame or name drop any mun or game in a negative fashion. No wanking, please!

4. Have fun!

I've been around Bakerstreet for a while now. There was a period of time when my top level tags got quite a few responses, both in and out of canon, and that was awesome. I got a lot of really great threads that way. Lately, though, my tags have been going unanswered, and the times that I've tagged out, I've gotten no responses. I've also noticed other people playing the same character getting more responses.

Am I posting too much? Am I too familiar? Did I do something to earn myself a bad reputation or something? I haven't been namedropped in wankgate or anything, so it's nothing that extreme, but I still worried that there's some reason people specifically don't want to tag me.

Help, anons?

Which fandom is your character from?

Maybe it's just that the fandom itself is not as popular as it used to be?

I'm reluctant to name it in fear that it will out me. But it's a new fandom, in its first season. The show is pretty popular, although I have seen the number of people playing from it dwindling somewhat.

Maybe it has lost the "oh! Shiny!" of a brand new fandom?

That might be it.

Why don't you try using new characters and seeing what happens?
