He's very, very loyal once you earn that from him. And not in the way that makes him easy to walk all over, but he'll be there when you need him, whether you ask or not. He's also a good father, even if he doesn't do things the way other people would approve of, but don't tell him that I told you that or his head might explode of ego.

Rocket glue is meant to hold a ship together while it's under intense pressure from the atmosphere and intense heat. If you make it so that Goku's power in turn makes the glue stronger, it will keep him stuck to the side of the ship whether he likes it or not.
