The OOC RP Discussion Meme

The OOC RP Discussion Meme

[How To]

1. Discuss anything to do with RP-ing - Plots you want to try out, characters, characterization, head canon/fan theories, game ideas, meme ideas, fic and fanart ideas, AU and crossover ideas, Verse/PSL ideas, etc, etc. Game and comm promotions are fine, too.

2. Comments can be anon or non-anon, it's up to you.

3. Please do not bash, flame or name drop any mun or game in a negative fashion. No wanking, please!

4. Have fun!

I know this is going to sound super rude and I don't mean for it to, but do we need an OOC anon discussion meme every week? Isn't that what RPAnons is for?

Some people like the rpanons meme. Some people like the OOC Anon Discussion Meme. Some people like both.

If you don't like the OOC Anon Discussion Meme, nobody is forcing you to post anything in it.

Correct?

I agree that having it every week is excessive though

I personally don't have any problems with having it every week, or every week and a half, or whatever it is.

That's true. I actually do like this meme, but it's been barely a week since the last one was posted. I never said I didn't like this meme, I just don't think it needs to be posted so frequently.

Looking at the last one, it has barely 37 comments. And the one before that only 55 in the entire ten days between when the next OOC Anon Discussion meme was posted.

We're not having a comment count contest here, tho.

The point of the meme is to discuss stuff about RP and memes and all that.

You don't need to have a ton of comments for that.

I never said it was a comment contest. I was pointing out how little each of these memes is used since they're being posted so often. If you look at the first instance of this meme being posted on the comm, it has quite a few more comments then the instances after it. Why should someone make use of a discussion meme when a new one will be posted barely a week or a week and a half later?

I think these memes will get more use if they were posted less frequently so discussion could go on longer in each post. Yes, people could still keep discussing in the old post, but more likely than not, they'll just move on to the new one.

There's nothing wrong with moving to a new post to continue a discussion, you know.

Did you realize that your post was the 37th comment in this meme, btw?

(Anonymous) 2013-05-02 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
I did not.

I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree. As much as I like this meme and as useful as it can be, I just don't think it needs to be posted as frequently as it has been.

Wow, talk about passive aggressive.

It serves a purpose for meme ideas at least.
