i was thinking of doing a "hanami" meme. Basically just with trees blooming with all sorts of blossoms.

Along with the rainy day meme I also made the heatwave one.

But idk if people would be interested...

original character memes - be that something where players of original characters can "meet" (like a kind of friending meme, i suppose?) or situational memes that are for OCs only.

Wasn't there one on Bakerstreet last week or something? IIRC, hardly anyone tagged out.

There was an OC only meme last week. It got a few handfuls of people to tag in, but not many people tagged around. I think I'd be more open to an OC friendly meme as opposed to a strictly OC only meme. People seem to feel uncomfortable bringing attention to their OCs in a meme like that, but I think maybe if there was a meme that had a 'Get to know (x)' and you had to have your top comment be a little blurb about the character, canon or OC, that might be something that gave people a hint of writing styles and if the person had a good grasp on their character.

Especially given the general negative attitude toward OCs in DWRP. I think I even saw a comment somewhere like "Aren't people embarrassed to be on an OC meme?" and "OCs don't belong on DWRP, go to forums." (Though, I've heard that before the LJ migration OC RPs were quite common on DW, but...not the point.)

A "Get to Know You" meme would be really cool. I wonder if it would be necessary to list canon in the cast of a meme like that...

I think it could be an option. Like, for canon chars, list a fandom or for fandom ocs, list your fandom, but other than that, try to give a sense of your character as though people don't have a clue about the canon. It would give people that don't know anything about certain canons a better glimpse into them and it wouldn't make any ocs stand out so blatantly because 'OMG OCS ARE DUMB OK'.

I don't see why ocs would be embarrassed to be in an OC MEME. I could see if someone threw a canon character in there because they weren't reading the rules, but this whole mentality of ocs being shit is unfair to the people who actually put a decent amount of work into their backstory for an oc instead of grabbing the newest pretty face and slapping it onto a generic 'average girl/guy' for smut purposes.

A DO NOT WANT meme that is maybe a twist on the blind date meme? Characters who are obviously not compatible or meant for each other or even despise each other, are somehow arranged to go on a date? Think: Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell thinking she's getting the man of her dreams to meet her at the Max and it turns out to be Screech.

IDK.

This meme could be so much fun to play with.

The Awkward T-Shirt Meme.

Character is wearing a T-shirt with a saying/image of his/her choosing. Think "I'm With Stupid ->" or one of the designs from Threadless (I quite like their old political "Everybody Poops" with the donkey and elephant on it...).

React to character's shirt. Hilarity ensues. Bonus points if shirts are subtle fandom pokes like this one (http://www.gearlive.com/news/article/q307-spoilt-tee-ruins-movie-endings/).

Absolutely loved the sticky note meme, one of my favorites in a while. More like that would be neat. It was easy to interact with anyone, regardless of if you knew their canon or not.

Is it really? I've only seen it maybe three times in the last five months or so. I could just not be paying attention, but seeing how many times HALF of the memes are reposted, I don't think the sticky note one is overdone.

A meme where your characters can only speak using the keywords of the icon you're using. Hilarity ensues!
