The IC Anon Fanmail Meme

The IC Anon Fanmail Meme

This meme is similar to the Anon Questions Meme, except that the characters get anon fanmail instead of anon questions.

[The Rules]

1. Post as your characters, and write down the name, canon, preferences, etc.

2. Go around and find another character, go anon, and send them IC anon fanmail. The fanmail can be as sincere or insincere as you wish.

3. Tag away, and be excellent to each other! No wank, please.

You have been an inspiration to me, sir.
j_h_holliday: (a fine mustache)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-22 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Why that is perhaps one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. Which makes me wonder if you have spent any prolonged periods of time with me. Still, I thank you, you have touched me deeply.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I have not spent any time with you, but the stories I've heard are very inspirational.

I was going to invite you to sit down and enjoy a drink some time but I wouldn't dare want to spoil all those lovely stories you have heard about me. The truth is rarely as pleasant as the reality.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't be able to share a drink anyway. I'm too young!
j_h_holliday: (glance up o rly?)

[ooc: omg the last tag line should read: 'the truth is rarely as pleasant as the story.' So, so, sorry! Cooking and tagging do not mix]

Well I shall have my tea and you can have a root beer, how does that sound? May I inquire as to how old you are?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Hee, no worries!]

Seventeen, sir. But an old seventeen.
j_h_holliday: (smile)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Of that I certainly have no doubt, adults rarely give young people their due when it comes to life experiences and strength and what a pity that is. And please, no need to call me sir, my friends call me Doc, come to think of it even people who do not like me call me that. Hopefully I may consider you the former and not the latter of the pair.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, sir. Doc.

I have a lot of dangerous friends. I'd like to consider you one, too.
j_h_holliday: (black ride out cigarette)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
You would like to consider me a friend because I am dangerous?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
No, not, that's not my meaning! I'm...accustomed to being around people others consider dangerous. For one reason or another.
j_h_holliday: (gaze down shadow)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. Yes. I do suppose some people consider me dangerous. Does your hanging around dangerous people come from the fact that you are a very old seventeen year old?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Partially, but mostly because some of my friends are alchemists. Or soldiers.
j_h_holliday: (glance up o rly?)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
I cannot say that I have ever encountered an alchemist that was not hawking a potion or ware that did what it actually claimed to do, but painting with a broad brush gets a man in trouble. How do alchemists and soldiers coincide in your world?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Most alchemists are soldiers in my world. They're called 'human weapons' for the amount of destruction they can do. My friends can destroy a town in just a few minutes if they wanted to. Well, they have in the past, but they set it to rights again.
j_h_holliday: (glance up o rly?)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds like a very grim title indeed. Where do you fit in among all this? Are you a human weapon?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[If there was a way to laugh, she might.]

No. I'm an engineer. I give people back their lives. But my two best friends are alchemists.
j_h_holliday: (a hint of a smile)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a much better title, much better indeed. It is a noble undertaking to give someone back something back like that. What made you decide to follow that path?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, Doc!

My parents were doctors and my grandmother is an engineer and an automail surgeon. It's the family business, you could say.
j_h_holliday: (hat tip)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-23 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
You are very welocome! Is there a way that you would like me to address you, or shall you remain nameless and faceless?

I have an uncle who is a doctor, and my cousin Robert is a dentist, and I can say that the medical profession is a hard occupation to take on, you are strong for doing so.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh...I'd rather stay anonymous. I know that's rude but I feel like I can talk to you easier this way.

Oh? I didn't know that.

It is hard, and difficult, and sometimes heartwrenching. But there are so many rewards, too.
j_h_holliday: (Default)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-24 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Then by all means, please continue to do so. I do not wish to make you feel uncomfortable. I find it easier as well, truth be told.

Indeed, an odd variety in my family.

Does it balance out in the end, the heartbreak and the rewards?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, sir!

A lot of healers. That's a good thing. Like my family.

[A pause.]

I think I've had more rewards than heartbreaks. I've helped birth a baby and given people back their lives.
j_h_holliday: (smile)

[personal profile] j_h_holliday 2015-04-25 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps we have more in common than I had previously thought, some of my family were soldiers as were some of my friends.

I am glad that has been your experience, and that sounds like you have had some lovely times in your career. The birth of a child is an amazing thing, what is the child's name?
