The Game Reunion Meme


HIGH SCHOOL GAME REUNION MEME



Remember all those people you used to be in a game with? It's time to meet them again and reminisce about the good old days, or go at each other's throats if that's what you used to do. Whichever.

1. Look for your old game's thread. If your old game has no thread, you get to make one.
2. Post with your dropped character.
3. Other characters from that game get to reply.
4. If you need a setting, you're in a high school reunion-esque place.
5. ???
6. Profit.

Additional rules - You may post with not just dropped characters, but characters which are currently in the games, too. Gatecrashing other games's former or current characters are also allowed, as long as there is an OOC note saying that the character doing that is gatecrashing in the tag.

[ She doesn't mind either way... You know, if he himself was feeling less sentimental he would tease her about this, go with something like "ah, so I should call you "darling" or something, right?" He still might. But right now, watching her reactions play out in front of him, his mind goes back to Luceti, to those days they had shared and how he was never really ready to commit to saying something. In truth, he's not sure if he is certain enough now, but every moment he's in front of her, he can feel that familiar sense of joy welling up in his stomach, in his lungs, and then in his heart.

Masaomi brushes back his hair, and- ]

Even if I had seen you first, my heart would've skipped a beat, Crys.

[ Crys... It doesn't feel right, but it doesn't feel wrong, either. He laughs at his own silliness here, shaking his head and rocking on his heels ] I'm happy to see you're still in good spirits.

[ It still feels like it needs to be followed by the rest of her name and by a familiar honorific, but things like this are things you just--need to get used to. It isn't weird in a bad way, it's just... different.

Her cheeks heat up at his comment (oh come on, he definitely says that to every girl! ...that doesn't make the butterfree in her stomach flutter any softer), and she smiles wider when he laughs it off, shaking her head just the same with a small laugh of her own. ]

You too. Just the same as ever, huh? [ If he's just the same, does he still... Crystal twiddles her thumbs without finishing her thought. His joking (?) comment wants her to believe, but... honestly.

It's still been a while. Feelings change. Even if the joy bubbling up in her says otherwise-- ] That's good, I think. I liked how you were before. Oh, not that I wouldn't like you now if you changed or something, because we're still friends even if we haven't seen each other, but--I mean--well, um.

[ ...well. ]

I'm glad you're still you. [ yeah. let's.

It's strange, really. Masaomi himself had never terribly liked himself, and it was ironically all the hardship that Luceti put him through which opened the door to him being able to self-actualize like that. To hear that sentiment echoed so plainly in a girl like Crystal was something that made his heart flutter, but he also had to consider the question - was he the same? Well, the basic answer was that yes he was. While it seemed like Luceti was forever ago now, it also seemed like no time at all. Because he hadn't exactly been doing much since then, had he?

And it's perhaps because of that, ] Mmm, in a way, it feels like things haven't really changed that much at all. [ He takes a step closer to her, definitely getting up into her personal space a little by doing so ]

But I guess things have, haven't they? Luceti was a long time ago now, and even if everything ended there, we all ended up with one or three loose ends - Aaahah, or at least I know I did.

[ And he boldly reaches up, to brush back some stray hair back up off her face ]
